Rauw Alejandro earns his fourth top 10 success on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart as Trap Cake, Vol. 2, his latest EP, debuts at No. 6 on the March 12-dated ranking.

The nine-track set, released Feb. 25 via Duars/Sony Music Latin, launched with 7,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending March 3, according to MRC Data.

The Top Latin Albums chart ranks the most popular Latin albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album.

Out of Trap Cake, Vol. 2’s opening sum, a little over 6,000 units derive from SEA; that makes it the most-streamed Latin album of the week, with a total of 8.61 million on-demand plays from the album’s songs in its opening week.

The bilingual set, with collaborations by Future, Rvssian, Ty Dolla $ign, and others, gives the Puerto Rican act his fourth straight top 10, all within a three-year span. It follows his first and only No. 1 on the all-genre tally: Vice Versa, which debuted at No. 1 where it remained for two consecutive weeks starting the July 10, 2021-dated tally (currently holds at No. 3 in its ninth week).

Elsewhere, Trap Cake concurrently arrives at No. 6 on Latin Rhythm Albums, also his fourth straight top 10 there.

As Trap Cake arrives, the EP’s second single “Gracias Por Nada” also debuts on the all-metric Hot Latin Songs chart (which blends streams, airplay, and digital sales). The track starts at No. 39 mostly on the strength of streaming activity: it generated 1.73 million streams earned in the week ending March 3.
